International Exchange Students are coming for the next school year

May 24, 2012 - By Lillian Clemente

International high school exchange students are coming to study in the Milo area during the 2012-13 school year. These students will integrate themselves into a local family with the goal of experiencing American culture as an American high school student does. In turn they will provide insight into their own culture.

STS Foundation, a non-profit student exchange organization, is proud to help facilitate these relationships. They have been doing so for the past 20 years and look forward to finding new host families in Milo and connecting them with exchange students. Two of the students STS is looking for host families in the area for this year are coming from France and Germany respectively. The boy from France is 16 years-old and comes from a multicultural family, with relatives in Mexico, Spain and Switzerland . He is an adaptable and active boy who enjoys sports such as baseball and football. He plans the clarinet and is learning how to play the piano. He likes animals and enjoys spending time with his parents. The girl from Germany is 15 years old and loves all kinds of sports. She enjoys tennis, cross country, snowboarding, and any kind of team sport. She also enjoys horseback riding and shares a passion music. She has played the guitar and the recorder for several years. They are both excellent students and will have their own spending money and health insurance.

The host family provides a separate bed, family meals and a loving and safe environment. If your family is interested in being a host family please call Lillian Clemente at 1-800-522-4678 or send an email to lillian@stsfoundation.org. For more information visit www.stsfoundation.org.
