Sebec's 200th Celebration Committee Brings Great Music, A Pancake Breakfast and Auction to Sebec this Summer

Your Sebec 200th Celebration Committee has worked hard to create a variety of activities this summer.
Great Country Music Show on Saturday, July 23rd: Jay and Tammy Roy will offer a night filled with Country, Western, Gospel and Comedy Music. Jay has won the 2011 and 2010 Fame Award for Musician of the Year and Lead Guitar of the Year. Tammy has won the 2010 Fame Award for Bassist of the Year and Vocalist of the Year on Song of the Year for "On My Father's Side". As entertainers, Jay & Tammy have acquired a reputation for reading the audience and quickly establishing a rapport. Enhancing their considerable talent, this audience engagement is frequently cited in recommendation. Jay was the recipient of The 2008 and 2009 (Families Advocating Moral Entertainment) FAME AWARD for Musician of the Year and Lead Guitarist of the Year. Tammy was the recipient of The FAME 2008 Directors Award and 2009 FAME Bassist of The Year Award, Vocalist Of The Year Award and Song of The Year Award for On My Fathers Side written by Jan Buckner. The event will also have a 50/50 raffle, food available, door prizes and more. Don't forget about hand crafted 200th Celebration Quilt. This quilt was created by Sue Small and Joan Baird of Sebec. The quilt will be on display at the town office and at 200th Celebration events. To win this special quilt you must buy a raffle ticket for a $1 each or get 6 tickets for just $5. This event will be held at the 4 Corners Event Center in Sebec, Maine. The doors will open at 6 p.m and the show starts at 7 p.m.. Tickets are $10 each. There is limited seating for this event so advanced tickets are available by calling 564-2772.

On Saturday, August 13th the morning will start out with Pancake Breakfast in the Historical Wyman Store in Sebec Village starting at 8am and across the street in the Sebec Reading Room will host the 200th Celebration Silent Auction starting at 8 am and runs until 11 am. Watch our web site for the items in the auction coming in August. You will find many great items, gift certificates, baked goods, custom gift baskets and so much more. If you and/or your business would create a custom gift basket to be auctioned off, we have the basket for you to fill. We also looking for donation to the auctions which can be dropped off at the town office or call Sue Small at 564-7079.

The next Sebec 200th Celebration committee will be held on Thursday, July 28th at 6:30 pm in the Sebec Town Office.

The Sebec 200th Celebration will be on Saturday, July 21st of 2012. The 200th Celebration Planning Committee is always looking for volunteers and other assistance, if you are interested please call Chairperson Sue Small at 564-7079.
