Simplify Your Life

According to the Soap and Detergent Association cleaning survey, 98% of the respondents feel good about themselves when their home is clean, and 94% report cleaning reduces incidences of illness, allergies or asthma. Are you one of the families that have 25% more furniture and 75% more toys than you need? Are you trying to deal with the clutter in your home or office space, don't know when to toss something cause you think you'll need it or just don't know where to start ? Well, Simplify Your Life is for you (or someone you know).

Jane Conroy, Extension Educator in the Piscataquis County office will be offer the session on Saturday, May 7th at 9:00-Noon at the UMCE office in Dover-Foxcroft.

The session will focus on three main areas- Simplifying Life in the Kitchen by organizing your kitchen, including safe storage information and ideas to reduce clutter and increase efficiency. It will also cover how to Recycle- the Do's and Don'ts

Keep, Take or Toss will help us decide what to keep, give away/donate, or toss out. It will also include information on organizing important papers.

Simplify Cleaning will focus on reducing the number of different cleaning products we use as well as information on how to store, use and dispose of them safely. And the how to make your own cleaning supplies.

There is a small charge of $10 to cover materials. Pre-registration is required by calling the Extension Office at 564-3301 or 1-800-287-1491 or emailing to jconroy@umext.maine.edu no later than May 5th. Space is limited so call early!
