Grow Smart Maine: April 25th meeting in Dover-Foxcroft

March 07, 2006 - TRC

Dear Friends and Neighbors,

Grow Smart Maine will be hosting a meeting at Penquis Higher Education
Center in Dover-Foxcroft on Tuesday April 25 from 6:30PM to 8:00 PM. The
key question that will be addressed in this discussion meeting is
this..."How can we build prosperity without losing our unique character ?"

This is a timely question for Piscataquis County. Key questions that
came out of the 2004 Piscataquis County Tourism Attitudes Research
Project was this..."How do we take advantage of new niche tourism
product and business opportunities ? How do we do this without eroding,
losing our valued rural quality of life."

It looks like the meeting on April 25th is close to what is in our minds
and hearts about the future of communities in this region. Hope you can
make it. Feel free to pass this on to your friends and neighbors.
