Tradewinds Market News

March 18, 2011 - MILO

Tradewinds Market is proud to announce the open of a New Tradewinds Market in Milo.

Tradewinds purchased the Milo Farmers Union IGA Supermarket in February and in the past six weeks have completely renovated the grocery store sales area. The frozen food cases were relocated so that frozen food purchase will be at the end of our customers shopping list. A new tile floor has been installed in the 12,000 square feet sales area. And the entryway floor was redone as well.

The meat display case was replaced with larger capacity that will enable us to provide our customers greater variety than in the past. The deli department also had a complete make over too. With new display case, rotisserie chicken cooker and other cooking equipment.

Walls have been repainted to reflect our color scheme in our other 3 Tradewinds Supermarkets located in East Corinth, Eddington and Blue Hill. Additional lighting has been added to enhance the brightness of the shopping area.

Four new checkout counters have been installed with the latest computer technology of retail grocery sales. These checkout counters have the carousel bagging system.

Additional aisle has been added to provide more product variety. Owners Chuck Lawrence and Dave Butterfield are proud to offer the Harmaford products, as Hannaford is a well known supplier of products of variety, quality and pricing value.

The Grand Opening will be Sunday, March 27 at 8:00 AM. The fist 500 customers will receive a FREE ham.
There also will be door prizes award during the Grand Opening.

To prepare for the Grand Opening, Tradewinds will have a SOFT OPENING. The Soft Opening will allow the staff to gain the experience of the new store system. The Soft Opening will start on Thursday, March 24 at 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM and the same for Friday and Saturday, with the same hours.
