GrowSmart Maine coming to Dover-FoxcroftMarch 20, 2006 - TRCGrowSmart Maine coming to Dover-Foxcroft Hello, You are invited to participate in our new project with the Brookings Institution. This endeavor seeks to 'connect the dots' between sprawl, taxes, quality of life, conservation and prosperity. This spring, a team from GrowSmart Maine and the Brookings Institution will travel to Dover-Foxcroft. We will invite the public to join us for a 'listening session,' in which we will solicit the ideas and frustrations of your community, which is clearly intent on preserving Maine's--and your region's--trademark quality of place while also growing its economy. This project has captivated people all over Maine from the business community, conservation organizations, local and state government leaders and citizens. We hope that you will serve on our committee of local leaders, and help us promote this session. In addition to the spring listening session, we will be coming to Dover-Foxcroft with the hope of meeting with some of you. We would like to introduce GrowSmart Maine and discuss the Brookings project in more detail. We will be in town at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, March 22. Please let me know if you are interested in meeting with us; I will forward details. We are eager to come to Dover-Foxcroft. You should be proud of the outstanding work you are already engaged in. We look forward to working with you !
