Penquis Valley Schools Open House

Penquis Community would like to remind parents and guardians that on September 9th at 5:30pm we will be holding our whole school Open House. We would like to see as many students and parents/guardians [as will be able to attend] during this time.
Some Events for the Night:
- Web2school Parent Portal
- PV Alt Ed Program
- PV HS Student Council will be providing Babysitting Services during this time - games, coloring, story books, etc.
Looking forward to seeing everyone at this time.

Kiwanis Blueberry Festival, September 12

Three Rivers Kiwanis Milo-Brownville cordially invites community members and visitors to our Annual Mid-Maine Blueberry Festival on Saturday, September 12, at the Kiwanis building in Milo.

The Blueberry Pancake Breakfast will be served from 7:00 to 10:00 am. The menu includes: blueberry pancakes, scrambled eggs, your choice of sausage or bacon, muffins and a beverage. The family rate of $20.00 per family is new for 2015, and others are $7.00 for adults and $4.00 for children under ten.

Penquis Loop roadwork this week

Update Tuesday  afternoon, September 8:  For pick up at Penquis Valley, please use D'este Rd to enter the school and exit the usual way.
MDOT still has one side under construction.

Good evening, Milo.
For those of you heading to the Middle /High School in the morning please be aware that MDOT will be tearing up Penquis Loop in order to replace a culvert. They inform they will be doing one side at a time.
In order to avoid delays and possible crashes, I am asking you to enter the school by using D'este Rd and using the rear access road entrance to drop off and pick up students and then exit from Penquis Loop.

Basketball Officials Class

Eastern Maine Board #111 of the International Association of Approved Basketball Officials is offering a Prospective Officials Class
for any individuals, 18 years of age or older, who are interested in becoming certified basketball officials. 
Individuals living in Hancock, Knox, Penobscot, Piscataquis and Waldo Counties are eligible to take this class. 
The class will be held at Reed’s Brook Middle School, Room #164, in Hampden on Sundays & Wednesdays from 6 - 8:30 pm starting Sunday September 27th.  There will be seven classes culminating with a written test on November 2nd.
