Welcome to TRC 8.3!

The Three Rivers Community is a group of towns in the Maine Highlands with a total population of about 6,000: Atkinson, Bowerbank, Brownville, LaGrange, Lake View, Medford, Milo, and Sebec. TRC links our communities, businesses, & organizations together online for better social and economic progress.

TRC was founded 20 years ago, and has grown in many directions to suit the needs of our communities. We have local news, a community calendar, local town offices, local organization pages, community event information, and live local webcams!

Visitors are encouraged to sign up for an account. Only registered users will be able to submit content to the site.


Brownville road closing, 10/15 through 10/17

Route 11/Main Road in Brownville will be shut down on Tuesday, October 15th through Thursday, October 17th for the railroad crossing construction.

Traffic will be detoured onto Church Street.

DOT will being setting up on Monday, October 14th and traffic will be limited to one lane.

Please use caution and give yourself extra time for the delays.

Brownville: Fall Cleanup

The Town of Brownville offers residents Fall Cleanup on Wednesday, October 9 (west side of the river) and on Thursday, October 10 (east side of the river).

Electronics and appliances will not be picked up.

If you have any questions, please, call the Town Office at 965-2561.

Milo Evergreen Cemetery Notice

All flower arrangements (both live and artificial flowers and plants) must be removed from the cemetery on, or before, Sunday, October 13.

Winter arrangements (including evergreens, wreaths, poinsettias, etc.) may remain all winter.

Your co-operation will be very much appreciated.

Bean Supper for Ecumenical Food Cupboard

Unit 41 Auxiliary and Post 41 American Legion will host their second annual benefit bean supper for the Milo Ecumenical Food Cupboard. The event will be held October 26 from 5-6:30 PM.  Proceeds will assist the food cupboard with their holiday meals.

With $19 tax rate and 326 residents, Atkinson to send revised deorganization plan back to voters
