Frederick M. Hunter Sr

BROWNVILLE - Frederick M. Hunter Sr - . passed away peacefully January 23, 2018, with his children by his side.
He was born to Carleton Fred Hunter Sr. and Gladys Thebeau Hunter.
He graduated from St. Martin of Tours Catholic School ,Class of 1955.
He worked at Great Northern Paper Mill in Millinocket, for over 40 years, retiring in 1993.
He loved watching baseball, favoring the Red Sox. He enjoyed visiting relatives, especially his younger sister, Kay, sitting on her porch rocker sipping coffee and chatting. He was also a member of the Elks Lodge for 49 years. His favorite saying was "and apple pie for dessert" He was also a charmer with the ladies.
He is predeceased by his oldest daughter, Joyce Marie Hunter, His brother John (Jack) Hunter Sr. and Carleton (Sonny) Hunter ,a half brother Carl (Dick) Hunter and a half sister Betty Hunter Houllahan. A special brother in law, Edgar (Spike) Pooler, a special friend Beverly Hamlin and a son in law Ronald (Skip) Fredette. He is also predeceased by his extended family, Uncle Billy, Aunt Annie and cousins Rusty, Billy, Jerry and Patty Burke., who raised dad when his mother passed away at the age of five.
He is survived by his four children, Kelvin Hunter and wife Rose, Kelly and husband Jeff, Fred Jr. and Wife Mary and Barbara Fredette. A very special niece and nephew Robin and Jack Hunter, who he considered to be his own. His two sisters, Katherine Pooler and Joanne Connor. He will be missed by Charlie Weston his coffee drinking buddy.
He was a grandfather, great-grandfather, Uncle and great-uncle to many.
He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
Graveside Service will be held at a later date.
