Edwin Wesley McCorrison

MILO - Edwin Wesley McCorrison, 67, husband of Darlene (Morrison) McCorrison, passed away September 29, 2017, at his home.

Edwin was born February 19, 1950, in Milo, the son of Raymond and Gena (Hersey) McCorrison. He grew up in Milo and attended Milo schools, graduating in 1968. He started hunting and fishing at a young age with his Dad and continued throughout his life. After high school he served in the US Army from 1968-1971. He was stationed in several places, the farthest away being South Korea and his favorite being Hawaii.
Edwin earned his Bachelor's Degree from Boston University on January 25, 1982. He worked for the telephone company, retiring from Verizon on March 2, 2007, after 35 years. He was a lifetime member of the NRA, a member of American Legion Post #41 and a member of the Milo Fire Department, being sworn in February 5, 2014.
In addition to his loving wife, Darlene, he is survived by his daughter, Kristina and her husband Richard Bissell, of Holden; a special granddaughter, Jasmin; a nephew, Rick; nieces, Laurie, Linda, Shelley, Teri, Betty, Samantha, Renee, Hannah, Jillian, Addison and Caelyn; a special sister-in-law, Warena Cote; and special friend, hunting buddy, fellow fireman and all else, Leon Brown and many more. He was predeceased by his parents and sisters, Barbara Sutch and Joyce Harris; nieces, Karen and Jeannie; and a very special friend and brother-in-law, Charles Cote.
There will be a memorial service at 1 p.m. Saturday, October 14 at the Pleasant Park Community Center, Milo. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the Milo Fire Department, c/o Leon Brown, 6 Pleasant St., Milo, ME 04463.
