|MILO AND WEST SUSSEX, UK - Maurice Grant, 90, died Dec. 26, 2015 in England. It was Maurice's wish to return to his beloved homeland. This was made possible with the help of friends, caregivers and Beacon Hospice. He journeyed there on May 3, 2015, residing at Sussexdown, a care facility near his home town. Born in Slough, England, Sept. 14, 1925 to Rose Ellen Hogben "his lifeline" and William Napper.|

While visiting in Maine he worked at the Seaside Inn in Seal Harbor where he met his wife, Betty Rideout from Milo. They were married in 1957 in New York City. His personal interests were reflected in the variety of jobs he held during his lifetime. In 1968 Betty and Maurice moved to Milo where he was employed at the Dexter Shoe Company for 22 years upon retiring. Maurice served as a Lay Reader for the local Episcopal churches for 38 years.
