TO REGISTER A MOTOR VEHICLE
New Registration
1. You must have proof of insurance
2. If the vehicle is newer than 15 years old you must have a title or a
blue title application from a dealer or bank.
3. You must have a bill of sale if from a private sale or the green sales
tax form from a dealership or bank

Transfer
1. You must have proof of insurance
2. You must have the registration of the vehicle that you are
transferring plates from and you must have gotten rid of that vehicle.
(You can't own the old vehicle and transfer plates and get excise tax credit.)
3. You need the mileage from the old vehicle as well as the new one.

Re-Registration
1. You must have proof of insurance.
2. You must have current mileage.
