SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

Friday, August 17th

10:00a - 2:00p Children’s Quilt Show, Brownville Community Church
10:00a - 3:00p Historical Society Open
12:00p Food Contests, Brownville Community Church Pavilion
Each category will have first and second prizes awarded ! All food entered will be available following the contest. Call the Town Office or Emilie Johnson at 207.943.7319 for full contest rules.
Categories are:
* Chili
* Corn Bread
* Corn Chowder
* Biscuits
* Baked Beans
* Apple Pie
* Beef Stew
* Fudge
6:00p Children’s Parade, Brownville Community Church
Children may ride their bikes, push a doll carriage, ride in or pull a wagon, or any other creative idea they may have as long as the vehicle is non-motorized.
Sorry no pets allowed.
**PLEASE BE AWARE, A SMALL PORTION OF CHURCH STREET FROM THE COMMUNITY CHURCH TO PLEASANT STREET WILL BE CLOSED FOR APPROXIMATELY 10-15 MINUTES FOR THE CHILDREN'S PARADE AT 6:00 P.M.

Saturday, August 18th

6:30a - 8:30a Breakfast, Brownville Community Church
Pancakes, eggs, ham, coffee and juice will be served.
Prices are $4.50 for adults and $2.50 for children.
All proceeds benefit the Brownville Community Church. For more information, contact Rosemary Chase at 965-8341.
9:00a Vendors Open on Railroad Avenue
To obtain a vendor space on Railroad Avenue, please contact Toni Mihalik at 965-7351.
Spaces are $10.00 each and must be paid for in advance.
9:00a Flea Market Opens, North Street, Brownville Junction
To obtain a flea market space on North Street, please contact Linda Coburn at 965-8421. Spaces are $10.00 each and must be paid for in advance.
9:00a - 2:00p Quilt Show,Methodist Church, Railroad Avenue
You may also buy lunch. For more info, contact Lillian McLean at 965-2121 or Nancy Belvin at 965-8466.
10:00a PARADE begins at Webber Jones Airport
Attendees should show up no later than 9:00 a.m. for lineup. The parade will head out at 10:00a.m. o'clock sharp. All entrants will be placed into a drawing for $100. $100 prizes will be awarded for "Most Thematic" and "Most Creative" entry based on a ballot vote of the people!
Ballots will be passed out by the Post #92 Junior Auxiliary members during the parade.
You may cast your vote at the ballot boxes located at the General Store and More and the Artisans Fair on Railroad Avenue.
Winners will be announced following the Award Ceremony.

Immediately Following the Parade:
3rd Annual Citizenship Award Ceremony
The Town of Brownville will honor a group or citizen whose contributions have made a significant difference in Brownville.
Cake and refreshments will be served by the Jobs for Maine Graduates Students from Penquis Valley High School.
PLEASE BE ADVISED** MAIN ROAD(ROUTE 11), FROM THE AIRPORT NORTH TO THE GREEN BRIDGE, AS WELL AS ALL OF RAILROAD AVENUE, WILL BE CLOSED UNTIL THE PARADE ENDS. A DETOUR FOR ROUTE 11 IS AVAILABLE BY TRAVELING ON CHURCH STREET.
10:00a - 2:00p Mystery Cruise - You must participate in the parade to quailfy for the cruise.
After the parade you can cruise to different businesses and locations throughout town and win a prize ! For more info on the Mystery Cruz call Fran Donley at 965-8883.
10:00a - 2:00p Pleasant River Walk Treasure Hunt
Transportation will be provided for anyone who wishes to walk the Pleasant River Walk trail.
Please be advised this is a wilderness trail on rough terrain.
Contact Emilie Johnson at 943-7319 for more information on the treasure hunt.
10:00a - 3:00p Historical Society Open
10:30a - 2:00p Kid's Fair, Junction Fire Station on Railroad Avenue
Sponsored by American Legion Post #92 offering children's games, activities, and prizes. For more information please contact Brenda & Ed Roberts at 965-3631.
LUNCH Please take a break and enjoy lunch at one of our local establishments.
12:00n - 2:00p Music group, "Special Delivery"
Performing beside the B.J.H.S. Alumni hall featuring old country, 50's rock, bluegrass, and gospel.
Donations accepted.
X-Ring Industries will offer an "open house" located at 76 Railroad Avenue. Montreal Maine & Atlantic Railway will potentially have some working railroad equipment on display on Railroad Avenue.

Sunday, August 19th

9:00a - 4:00p Adult Co-ed Softball Tournament, Davis Field
First six teams to sign up play. Sponsored by Brownville Rec. & Brownville Days Committee. $100 per team entrance fee. Snack Shack will be open! Call Dean Bellatty at 207.965.8419 or Kathy White at 207.965.2561 for more info.
